This antique folding camp chair, with a dark wooden frame and woven seat, is stenciled 'Weinert.' This name suggests ownership by an officer who served in South Dakota conflicts in the late 1800s. Its portable design speaks to its use in military campaigns of the period.

CONDITION

In good condition with wear consistent with age and use.  Light scuffs and scratches to the wood. Small spot of wear/fray on the woven seat. Note: The connection to an officer named Weinert is based on historical research and remains a possibility rather than a certainty.
