This antique brace back Windsor style chair carries a dark blue painted frame paired with contrasting cream spindles for a striking folk art presence. Dating to the late 19th century to early 20th century, the chair features a saddle seat, turned legs, turned stretchers, and shaped brace supports beneath a softly arched crest rail. The painted surface was added later over the life of the chair, giving the piece a layered primitive character with beautifully aged wear that works especially well in farmhouse, cottage, and collected country interiors.
CONDITION
In good condition with wear consistent with age and use. Paint wear, scratches, scuffs, and finish loss throughout. Age wear visible to the seat, crest rail, and stretchers.
